The Story: 

Diana is a School Librarian which happened to be the Hero Librarian who saves the life of more than 50 students and teachers inside that library at that time. She yelled to them that  no one will risk to run along the hallway and everybody should stay inside. 

She didn't panic, given the situation but according to her she was inspired and taught by her colleague who experiences the same situation. 

She immediately turn-off the lights, shut windows and  locked them inside...

“I could see between the door and the floor. I could see if the bad guy – the shooter – walked past,” she said.

As they had recently undergone training and had been informed a simulated incident would take place.

“We did everything we were trained to do. And still this happened. And still 17 didn’t go home after school,” she said.

We're very sad to hear what happened and our deepest condolences to the Family of those 17 students from the tragic shooting incident at a High School in Florida.

I'm unhappy, 

This video  makes cry for help for those people who doesn't have enough food on their plate. 

I can just never imagine that this pleases everyone. 

This kind of clips should never be made fun of.

and artists who demonstrated this kind of entertainment must say sorry for those are offended.

(ARTICLE) Who deserves the spot?

Recently, the appointment given by the Philippine President, Rodrigo Duterte to Mr. Cesar Gilbert Q. Adriano as the new National Library of the Philippines Director is now being questioned by some of the members of the Philippine Library Association and now being at stake to be vacant again. 

According to Ateneo Library Director. Von Totanes, the appointment of Mr. Ceasar Adriano as NLP Director, violated not only the Librarianship Act’s requirement for qualified and licensed librarians to be employed in the government but also the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act. 

And with the help of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Maroles this matter has been taken under investigation.

Reaction???

It's a shame for the organization  to be headed by someone who is not in the same profession. 

I believe that in every team, there should be a leader who knows and understands its members and its goal and purpose of existence. 

The National Library of the Philippines supports many small and big libraries as it's distinguish to be the resort of all collections and the standard of providing library services to its clients.

The Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (formerly known as the Philippine Library Association) is the only nationally accredited professional organization of librarians in the Philippines to date. At present, it serves as the umbrella organization for all library groups in the country.

And just like every organizations, it was founded by people who dedicated their lives, hard-work and effort to make it grow. 

An absolute training, standard and qualifications are provided for those who wanted to be part of this growing organization. 

The program Bachelor of Library and Information Science was recognized by CHED and open this program for those aspiring librarians.

Then later on, the Board for Librarians was created by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 6966 also known as “The Philippine Librarianship Act” which was enacted into law on September 19, 1990.

The Board conducted its first licensure examination on December 3, 1992. Two years later, it launched the full computerization of the librarian licensure examinations.

The course becomes popular for some time and it manages to offer Masters in Library and Information Science as well.  Schools like UE, UST, UP many more...

I'm also writing this article to inform and make awareness that this profession is something to be taken seriously and should gain its respect to the public.

In relation with the issue of the newly appointed  Director of National Library, I know you guys understand everyone's point here. We may not know how capable you are to run but for I'm sure you're taking the wrong path.
