This woman dedicated her life to narrating wonderful stories from famous Filipino children's books to her diverse audiences in Metro Manila, from small kids to adults who don't have access to libraries and learning centers.
She's a librarian, a public servant, a comedian, an artist, and a mother. Her love for books inspired her to become a great storyteller, and now it's her time to tell her own story.
This is Melai. She is famously known as "Ang Kuwentistang Laybraryan/The Storytelling Librarian."
Though she may only stand four feet tall, she possesses a powerful voice and nurtures a profound dream for underprivileged children in Metro Manila to access books, educational materials, and a comfortable space for studying and learning, much like a library.
