The deadline for submission of Membership Application is on August 15, 2019 (Thursday).
The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) is now accepting members for the 19 National Committees (NCs) under the Subcommissions on the Arts, Cultural Communities and Traditional Arts, Cultural Dissemination and Cultural Heritage for the term January 1, 2020 to December 31, 2022.
Please refer to the different National Committee (NC) Membership Guidelines, Composition and Election Rules / Procedures [Annex A] for reference.
Interested applicants must comply with the requirements of the NCs and submit the necessary Membership Application Form [Annex B]. Likewise, the Institutional Members must comply and submit the requirements as defined by the concerned NCs.
The review and evaluation of all the applications will be carried out by the incumbent Executive Council (ExeCon) Members of the respective NCs as defined by their specific guidelines, which is aligned with the provisions for Membership based on the NCCA Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) [Please refer to Annex C] for reference. All applicants will be notified on the status of their membership on or before the assembly/conduct of elections of the concerned NCs. Please note that no person may be a member of more than one National Committee.

Membership to National Committee on Libraries and Information Services
(NCLIS)
is individual in nature. Membership is open to Filipino citizen of good moral character (GMC) who is a librarian or information service professional as per Sec. 58 item 58.1 of the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of RA 7356 (An Act Creating the National Commission for Culture and the Arts). The librarian applicant must have at least 5 years of professional-managerial work experience in the field of Library and Information Science and must be currently affiliated with any library. The librarian applicant must comply with the licensing requirements of Republic Act 9246, otherwise known as The Philippine Librarianship Act of 2003. The librarian applicant must be a Philippine Librarians Association, Inc. (PLAI) member in good standing. The librarian applicant must not be a director, trustee or officer of any professional library organization.

The NCCA Competitive Grants is anchored on its vision: Filipino culture as the wellspring of national and global well-being (Ang kalinangang Filipino ay bukal ng kagalingang pambansa at pandaigdig) and aligned with the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2017-2022: Chapter 7 on Culture (Promoting Philippine Culture and Values).
The call for submission of proposal specifies the necessary requirements, deliverables, deadline of submission in accordance to the categories identified by the four Subcommissions: Arts (SCA); Cultural Communities and Traditional Arts (SCCTA); Cultural Dissemination (SCD); and, Cultural Heritage (SCH).
The deadline for submission of proposals is on July 31, 2019.
